加拿大魁北克大学是一所法语大学，加拿大规模最大的大学之一，魁北克大学由魁北克政府于1968年建立，是加拿大最大的教育网络。它的使命是普及大学教育，促进魁北克的科学发展，开发魁北克省的各个地区。魁北克大学的总部位于魁北克市，下设九个教育分机构，其教学活动遍及魁北克省的五十四座城市。魁北克大学拥有约6000名教授和教师，在校学生达8万7000名。作为魁北克最年轻的大学，魁北克大学显著的特点归结为：创新、胆识、优秀的教学品质以及面向世界的开放精神。

　　加拿大魁北克大学包括蒙特利尔魁北克大学(UQAM)、三河魁北克大学(UQTR)、希库蒂米魁北克大学(UQAC)、里穆斯基魁北克大学(UQAR)、乌塔韦魁北克大学(UQO)、阿比蒂比-泰米斯卡曼格魁北克大学(UQAT)、国家科学研究院(INRS)、国家公共管理学院(éNAP)以及高等工科学校(éTS)等。

　　通过教学和研究，加拿大魁北克大学的教育分机构提供面向世界的规模化教育，尤其是提倡一种机动性的教学模式，使得各分机构的学生们能利用该大学的整个教育网络资源进行学习。各分机构的教授和教师们已与亚洲、欧洲、美洲和非洲建立了合作伙伴关系，这使他们因此而能够在世界级的研究项目中始终保持前沿地位。在魁北克大学接收的8万7000名学生中，有近5000名是留学生。
